3 Reasons Why It's Important for Your Skin to Have a Regular Routine

The world of skincare can be quite a minefield.

There are so many skin products available, with different promises, ingredients and claims, that it’s easy to feel overwhelmed with how and when to properly care for your skin.

The ideal skin routine is simple to implement and uses the most natural and pure ingredients that protect your skin, as well as the environment.

Most people already know that it’s important for your skin to have a regular routine, but they aren’t aware of the exact reasons why

If that sounds like you, then don’t worry - we’ve got you covered.
Read on to find out why it’s important for your skin to have a regular routine.

Skin is an organ.

First thing’s first - your skin is an organ. In fact, it’s one of the largest organs in your body.

Would you ever neglect caring for your heart? No, so you should never neglect caring for your skin either.

Make sense?

Like any other organ, your skin requires constant love and attention. And you know the phrase “you get out of it what you put in?” It applies for your skincare routine too.

Skin protects us from infection.

Did you know that your skin acts as a protective shield from the environment and is the most vulnerable to outside elements?

Sounds intense, right?

Not getting enough fluids, sleep, or nutrition can be detrimental to your skin and overall physical health. You must also be careful not to expose your skin to harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays and chemical toxins like tobacco.

If you indulge in the proper care and maintenance for your skin, it will lead to better skin appearance and overall health. Simple!

Consistency is key.

Basically, skin thrives from having a regular routine.

Just like your body can feel super jetlagged when it’s out of its usual sleeping routine, your skin can be negatively impacted when it’s out of its usual skincare routine.

Cleansing, hydration, and protection from UV rays are your three main staples when it comes to skincare. You can also introduce an exfoliant to remove dead skin cells and a clay mask twice a week for deeper hydration and nourishment.
Natural clay masks made from pure kaolin are particularly helpful during the cold seasons, especially if they’re made from plant derived and naturally occurring ingredients.

Why? Clay masks can do wonders for the skin. As well as soaking up all traces of dirt and grease, they tighten pores and boost your skin’s natural moisture. For instance, the Pure Ginga clay masks are made from 100% pure and natural kaolin.

They are anti-aging, pore refining, and blemish clarifying for all of your skin’s needs.

And if it’s botanical clay mask? Even better! Say goodbye to redness, inflammation, and wrinkles thanks to various plant derived ingredients.

As the skin is an important organ, it’s imperative that you develop a regular skincare routine and stick to it. Even if you’re unable to exfoliate every week, you should always be cleansing, moisturizing, applying a nourishing mask at least twice a week and applying sunscreen to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Essentially, if you’re kind to your skin, it’ll be kind to you too. And you’ll soon find that you look and feel better on a daily basis. Result.
